In 2021 joined the team from University of Groningen. We worked together over the span of 9 months and completed a project, which was picked 'Best Environmental Project Worldwide'. Please find the complete project at: https://2021.igem.org/Team:Groningen
As their designer, I was responsible for the visual communication with sponsors and the wider public. I created design elements for the website as well as a 2 minute animation about the project and a 20 minute video as a final presentation deliverable.
During that project I faced plenty of challenges, which pushed me to expand my skillset and learn new software (Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro). It was the first time for me to work with motion graphics, which from there on I developed as a solid skill. I took the role of translating complex topics into appealing visuals in order to communicate our idea to potential sponsors and even kids. In our 'Education' section you can find more about the comic we created for kids on the topic of Synthetic Biology.
